Français : Entre le fort et le faible, c'est la liberté qui opprime et la loi qui affranchit.
Between power and weakness, is the liberty which oppresses and the law that liberates.
I think "strength" and "weakness" are better opposites than "power" and
"weakness".

In a political sense, one would have more power. It sounds a bit strange to say that someone has political strength.

A better but less literal translation would be:
Between the strong and the weak lies both the freedom to oppress and the law to make one free.
