The indigenous Italian gypsies were not integrated into the Italian society, so they developed a Creole version of Italian. With the European enlargement, Gypsies from Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, emigrated to Italy.

There is an estimated number of 6 Million gypsies living in Italy. Numbers rising everyday.

Gypsies always preferred warm country, disorganized, mainly Southern Latin countries, like Italy and Spain, where they can easily blend in, as their skin tone is just as Italian.

Italy currently is the country with the largest gypsy population, hosting gypsies from most European countries.

The Italian gypsies spoke a very ancient form of gypsy language intermixed with Italian. Is the Creole Italian mutually intelligible with Spanish gypsy language from Andalusia?

"Italy currently is the country with the largest gypsy population, hosting gypsies from most European countries. "

Romania, Hungary, Slovakia used to be the countries with the largest number of gypsies. Because they were trapped there by the communist government (there was no freedom of movement in communism).

With the European Union enlargement, the gypsies were granted freedom of movement, and nearly 2.5 million gypsies from Eastern Europe migrated to Italy.

There was a joke in the media:

ROMA GO TO ROMA.
ROMA capital of ROMA.

ROMA (gypsies) go to ROMA(capital of Italy - written in Italian)
ROMA (Rome) has become the Capital of ROMA (gypsies)

it is very strange that the ROMA (Rome) has the same name as ROMA Gypsies.

This comes from the Indo-European language connection. LATIN- SANSCRIT
