what's the deal with "busted"?
other than showing the loss of 'r', which has always been a feature of English from its inception (OE sprecan>specan ["speak"]; ModEng curse>cuss; arse>ass, barse>bass, etc) I see nothing special about it really...it's just a corruption/evolution of "burst"
