French is big necessity in Africa

English is not treated in former British Africa as their own in fact Arabic is more widely used in Egypt and Sudan than it is used in Maghreb and at the same time Swahili is used more and more in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. But English is still spoken, especially when dealing internationally and in technical matters.
The language with the closest status to French in Africa is Portuguese on the other hand is either a new york asian escorts first or secondary language in former Portuguese Africa. Thanks to Portuguese colonization of those countries from 16th century and lasted up to the 2oth century.

The situation in Rwanda is not representative for the whole African continent. As the Rwandan and French governments have very strained diplomatic relations, the Anglophone elites officially dropped French as the language of instruction, athough it still will remain an important subject in school. In the same time in Tanzania and Kenya French becomes more important. And Ghana as an Anglophone country entered the Francophone community. Beware us of a single world language! The Tower of Babylon tells us how this story will end!

I'm sorry to disappoint english speakers, but english is not a necessity in any part of the world. It's something good to know, but NOT a necessity. Everyone can live without speaking english

Good point!

In addition, French is now compulsory secondary subjects in Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Liberia.

In Liberia, French will be treated equal with English. Nigeria is very serious about French that it even created a Francophone village known as Badagry.

When do they go to this Francophone village? Do they stop by when they go down to the rubbish tip to look for dinner? Or maybe if they stop by to offer themselves to the rich French businessmen for 5 cents a night?

I don't know. Maybe the tutsis in Rwanda do that for rich Brit businessmen?
