English is even simpler. For regular verbs, there are only two forms in the present tense and one form in the past tense.

I love
we love
you love
he loves
she loves
it loves
they love

I loved
we loved
you loved
he loved
she loved
it loved
they loved

Afrikaans is even simpler:

Ek hou
Jy/u (formal) hou
Hy/Ze/Dit hou
Ons hou
Julle hou
Hulle hou

Ek het gehou
Jy/u (formal) het gehou
Hy/Ze/Dit het gehou
Ons het gehou
Julle het gehou
Hulle het gehou

It even lacks the simple past tense for most verbs, but uses almost always the present perfect for the past (except for the auxiliary and modals verbs).
