Hispano: "Hispanic American countries ... they cannot even manufacture TV sets of their own."

"...Samsung Tijuana Park, as the multi-plant complex is called, has been in limited operation since the later part of 1995. With the turn of a ceremonial switch, annual output of televisions, TV/VCRs, color picture tubes, tuners and other products will grow to an estimated US$3 billion by the year 2000. To facilitate that growth, Samsung will invest an additional US$600 million in Tijuana Park and increase the number of employees from an initial 2,300 to more than 9,300 over the next four years."

So, yes, they do manufacture TV. You may have a point that the brand name is Korean.

Also missing from your list of poor Hispanic countries was Chile. Why? Was it because Michelle Bachelet actually lectured Gordon Brown on how to run the economy of U.K.?

Did you remember to make your donation to Haiti? Or are you just good at doing nothing?

">Look at Venezuela, it's one of the petroleum exporting countries and yet the standard of living is still low. Argentina used to be the leader in economy(thanks to Italian, German, and British immigrants) in Latin America but now inflation is so high. That's because of the negative traits that Spain passed on to them like corruption, violence, vanity, etc.<"

Hogwash. Spain cannot be blame for all of Latin-America's problems. As these countries became independent in the 19th century. If you ask me...it has been Britain and the U.S.A (preferably) that have meddled with these country's economies and politics. However, the U.S. has done much more than all the others to manipulate and ravaged the Latin-Americans via Big Stick diplomacy.

">The countries with the highest iexternal debts are Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, etc. are all hispanics. Luckily, African countries have low external debts.<"

Brought to you by....you guessed it! The U.S.A. Mexico in the 90s paid back much of its debt.

">It won't be long now that Africa and 3rd world Asian countries will surpass Hispanic America in terms of economy and standard of living so that the latter will become the poorest entity in the entire world.<"

Hogwash. Africa will continue to be supported by the U.N, U.S and E.U.
