Marius asks why Sardinian and Romanian should both use the word limba for
language. This difference, b for Lating gu, was present in several italic langauage that did not survive. The key to understanding this is to look at another word, aqua, which is apa in Romanian. Qu regularly corresponds to p in Romanian and some of the italic languages, but not Sardinian.
