Brazilian Portuguese - is it a hard language?

Oh, and I wouldn't favor the development and enforcement of a Brazilian norm, because it would certainly be based on Southeastern dialects. I prefer to have Portuguese as national language than be forced to write and speak some crappy paulista, fluminense, or whatever (no offence to those who speak them, they just sounds awful to me). Or even worse: some horrible tv-globo like language. Things are ok the way they are.

You are white trash and an example why Brazil cannot progress.
The norm will be based on Sudeste patterns because it's where the money is, just like US English is based on L.A. English and not Nebraska or Idaho English LOL

The current grammar MODERN PORTUGUESE, A REFERENCE GRAMMAR by Mário Perini is based on Sudeste Brazilian Portuguese (but it does exlude carioca, caipira and rural mineiro varieties), it's a great book by the way, defining the language of Brazil:
