Your "staircase" sounds a lot like "stircase".
Your "party" sounds a bit like "perty".

Ryan,

Yeah, you definitely sound Midwestern.
Ryan   Wednesday, August 13, 2003, 01:27 GMT
Yeah, that's part of a Michigan accent. The accent has similar features and is even stronger in Chicago, which coincidentally has a large Polish-American population.

What does midwestern mean?
Guofei Ma   Wednesday, August 13, 2003, 01:49 GMT
Midwestern= Midwestern United States. That is, the area around Illinois (where Chicago is) and Michigan (where Detroit is).

Heh heh. I do care. Charming some British women with my accent would be fun when I travel there, considering I can't charm any women here with the way I talk.

Charming women has more to do with the way you look and the money you earn than the way you talk.

How cynical of you, wingyellow. Saying the right words and having a good personality is more important than money. Otherwise, you will just get used. Who wants a relationship like that?

I don't know, Ryan. Come to LA, and you'll meet a lot of women who only go for guys with looks and/or cold hard cash.

Nah, I prefer hanging out in university towns where the ladies value open-minded intelligence. They may not workout in the gym seven days a week or have a great tan (that will turn into wrinkles one day), but you can still find some lookers around here.
