I'll kick your ass! - Me too!
If someone tells you "I love you", you don't answer "Me too", because it would sound like you are saying "I love myself too". Is that true in general? When is "Me too" not idiomatic? Here are a few examples...
A)I'd like to see you naked...
B) Me too...
A) I'll be waiting for you, hon...
B) Me too... :)
A) I'll kick your butt, idiot!
B) Me too, moron!
Thank you.
For "I love you" you would respond "you too."
Thank you.
Yes, I was told to use "You too" or "I love you too" in that case, but I was wondering about the other cases. I mean, the all have something that might be ambiguous or might not sound ok, like "I love you".
Is it ok to use "Me too" in the other examples? Or as an answer to "I'm going to give you something special..." ...Me too!
I love you.
-So do I.
I'll be waiting for you, hon...
-So will I
Yes, but I was interested in "Me too".
I hope my corrections help........
A)I'd like to see you naked...
B) Me too... (i would like to see myself naked too) incorrect, umless you want to say that as a joke.
A) I'll be waiting for you, hon...
B) Me too... :) (correct)
A) I'll kick your butt, idiot!
B) Me too, moron! ok, but not really 100%. rather laugh and walk away, lol
