CringeFest: Does "supposably” bother anyone?

Does "supposably” bother anyone when it's used in place of "supposEDly"?
I did a quick search and discovered that it's a real word, which SHOCKED me. Apparently, “supposably” can be used only when the meaning is “capable of being supposed”.

Words are inanimate so a word can't 'die' in the human sense, which you presumably meant considering you used the word 'painfully'.

I actually never heard anyone say supposably, but I'd probably bitchslap them, stuff like that gets on my nerves.

I've heard lots of people say "supposably" and it doesn't bother me in the least. I know what they are meaning.. why make a big deal about it?
