"Yikes" is very often seen in English today- but only in comic strips or bandes-dessinés. Nobody ever actually SAYS it

I have heard people say it, Bill-recently. Maybe I travel more than you do.

Я тоже говорю "yikes".

I personally don't say "yikes" because the word sounds sort of weird to me, but I know that other people do say it.
