usage
I am confused with this usage. Could anyone help with this?
I have done MBA.
or
I did MBA
note: I didn't receive my degree yet as I am awaiting my final semester results. Which one is the most preferred form of usage.
I got my MBA.
I just got my MBA.
I'm going to get my MBA.
or
I'm graduating with an MBA.
Skippy's right- think of an MBA as a THING, not an action or process. It is a degree- a discrete object, a piece of paper. You wouldn't say "I have done dog" or "I did dog" if you got yourself a new puppy!!!! :-)
I have done a dog.
That has sense though, right?
<<I have done a dog. >>
Я думаю, что это предложение имеет совершенно другое значение... Если ты хочешь, чтобы люди считали тебя извращенцем, то не так говори.
Вы правильно - это нет действительного ответа!
Unless this poor guest has an affinity for sexual liaisons with canines!
Is it wrong to say that 'I have done MBA'?
<<Is it wrong to say that 'I have done MBA'? >>
It's ok if MBA is someone's initials.
lol nice. Unless MBA is someone's initials, "I have done MBA" is grammatically incorrect.
How about 'I did MBA'. Is it acceptable?
Thank you very much.
<<How about 'I did MBA'. Is it acceptable?>>
It's the same as I've done MBA, in terms of acceptability.
Also, if MBA is a person, you could say something like "I did MBA in last night" or perhaps "I did in MBA last night."
I did Mary Betty Adams ;)
The only acceptable way to say that you've graduated with an MBA is to say "I got my MBA" or "I graduated with an MBA" or something of that sort.
