I've been searching this wide, wide internet for native Russian speakers speaking English in mp3 clips. If anyone knows of a place where I can find some clips can you please link me to them. Or if you know a movie where someone uses a Russian accent, I'm very much obliged. I'm trying to learn a Russian accent and it's easiest to learn if you can hear someone speak it. Thank you.

Russian sounds like Romanian, wait? Isn't Romanian a Slavic language? Or is strongly influenced by it?
'Isn't Romanian a Slavic language?
No, it is not.
'Or is strongly influenced by it?'
Not so strongly

I've heard Romanian before, it sounds so similar to Russian. Romanian is slavic, it just diluted most of it's vocabulary. Although, it's phonology is Slavic (russian like). Thanks for clarifying that.
all you have to do to learn a russian accent is watch the HBO Show Six Feet Under (season 2) where Nicoli, the Russian flower-store owner, dates Ruth (the mother).
«Romanian is slavic, it just diluted most of it's vocabulary.»
Oh dear. Romanian is not Slavic; it is a Latin language. The name Romania is derived from "Roma", or "Rome".

As the joke goes, "Romanian is essentially Latin trying to be Russian.

Romanian is a Romance language as said before. It is the most eastern Romance language in Europe, and apart from some vocabulary and pronunciation influence, it has nothing to do with Slavic languages whatsoever.
