And in the dialect here in Milwaukee, the difference is even greater, with:
"bottle" [ˈb̥aɾ̥ɯː] or [ˈb̥aɯ̯] "butter" [ˈb̥ʌɾ̥ʁ̩ː] [ˈb̥ʌːʁ]
Stressed vowes: bottle has /A/ and butter /@/ for me,

"Bottle" is more like [바를] while "butter" is more like [버러ㄹ].
