What are the differences between tone and intonation?
This is no expert advice, just a start for other people to correct me.
'Tone' is the general sound of what somebody says. For example, being angry, upset or happy can affect the tone of what we say.
'Intonation' is more specifically in accordance with the rise and fall of the tone of certain words within a sentence. For example, when we ask a question, the intonation often rises at the end of the sentence.
For or positive statements, the intonation will often raise while for negative statements, the intonation will fall.
