What does przlmzl mean? Why are there no vowels? Hmmm, are we supposed to guess that one too? We have those types of unspoken challenges and hidden "ha ha" jokes here. That's what I want to know.

I think several posters who are regulars can manage three or four languages at least. It's possible that they know more than that. In any case, it's always extremely difficult to talk about this without sounding like a total geek, a freak, or (lol) a spy.

Very good, Mark. If you are being forthright, then I have a guestion for you since your Ukrainian is far better than mine. Why are there two words in Ukrainian for mouth? One is vusta (that's how it sounds to me, I can't write in Ukrainian) and the other sounds more like the Russian word.

Also how do you say these things in Ukrainian.

"It has the same meaning. There are two ways to say it in language X."

"English is a Germanic language, but so are the Scandinavian languages"

"Why do you speak German if you don't like it?"

"Your teacher would like you to do only the exercises she marked."

Thank-you in advance.

I wasn't being forthright, ha ha ha. Although I do know that in Russian it is the same, there is уста and рот. Surely уста is related to Ukranian vusta.

Уста is defined as follows:

УСТА мн.

1. Рот, губы (lips).

I can't help you with those phrases because as stated above I was fibbing. I just couldn't resist, you see, although it does reflect reality (subtract six points from all but English and you will have a more or less picture of my skills)!
K. T.   Wed Jul 23, 2008 4:20 am GMT
Yes, that makes sense to me-both your explanation and the fibbing. TY. According to your system, your Welsh hasn't even been born! So what do you really mean? Are you conversational or are you more of the "I can order coffee" type?

Uhh, Caspi-ol'-buddy
I've seen your German and you'd better knock that 7 down to about a 3.5-4
