I'm a student and I want to become a teacher of English as a second language.
My teacher gave us different accent samples, including this one, and I'd like you to answer a few questions about it:
-Do you think the speaker is a native speaker of English?
-If yes, where does she come from?
-If you think she isn't, where do you think she comes from and why?
-Which words did she mispronounce?
-Overall, did her reading sound:
a. native-like
b. almost native-like
c. very good, but she 'butchered' several words
d. good, but quite a few things sounded off
e. okay, understandable but it sounded foreign
f. not that good, you didn't understand everything
g. you didn't understand anything so you can't comment on the recording
Thanks for the help, my teacher will gave us the answers in a few weeks.
