Esperanto is a high developed young language with its own cultural output. Take a look at www.esaperanto.net

I have made use of it for decades, and in a dozen countries.

According to Wikipedia, George Soros is a "native" speaker of Esperanto.
Isn't he a big supporter of Mr. Obama?

Why do you spell it "esaperanto"?
Guest   Wed Oct 01, 2008 3:37 pm GMT
If you are an esperantist, perhaps you can confirm whether or not Mr. Obama's campaigners produced an ad in Esperanto.

Mi havas lernitan Esperanton dum multaj jaroj, uzita ĝin ofte, sed mi kredas ke ĝi estas malakra, mortinta lingvo sen animo. Esperanto estas Eŭrocentrisma, tio ne estas bona por mondo lingvo.

Our guest above me has nailed it. I neither don't get it why Esperantists are getting overexcited about it being irregular. As if languages are all about the grammar and as if regularity contributes to the animo of a artificial language.

Esperanto is eurocentric, just like English. No one except for esperantists is complaining or even struggling using the latter. There is really no need for another eurocentric language.

All languages were artificial at the beginning

Esperanto has not also the hateful and unreasonable phrasal verbs

there is a need for new simple language

eurocentric or afrocentric .. i don't care

Esperanto is ugly. Interlingua is much nicer.
