Why isn't Esperanto so popular?

Esperanto is a high developed young language with its own cultural output. Take a look at www.esaperanto.net
I have made use of it for decades, and in a dozen countries.
According to Wikipedia, George Soros is a "native" speaker of Esperanto.
Isn't he a big supporter of Mr. Obama?
If you are an esperantist, perhaps you can confirm whether or not Mr. Obama's campaigners produced an ad in Esperanto.

Our guest above me has nailed it. I neither don't get it why Esperantists are getting overexcited about it being irregular. As if languages are all about the grammar and as if regularity contributes to the animo of a artificial language.
Esperanto is eurocentric, just like English. No one except for esperantists is complaining or even struggling using the latter. There is really no need for another eurocentric language.
