What language(s) will you study in the new year?
New Year/New Languages
German and French as usual.
I started French exactly one year ago... so far it's still part-time.

Will continue studying French, Chinese and Dutch even though my Russian textbooks have been tempting me... :D
By tabulating the responses here, it looks like we can finally answer that age-old question: Is Spanish/French more popular, or on the decline?
From the early returns, it's:
French - 2
french - 1
Spanish - 1

I'm going to begin studying Italian after the holidays. I'll also be continuing with Spanish.
Stupid. All these regional languages are useful alone in any imaginable area; I see French as very handy for Assimil, and many other fields; but I don't deny Spanish has its own (supposedly high) utility elsewhere, esp. for Americans. Both are flourishing in my country and both are fairly popular, period.

Xie,
I think you meant that Assimil is very handy for French.
I'm not sure what you find "stupid"...whenever someone says that he/she is learning a regional language, I'm curious to know more about that choice.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

I will be continuing my studies of French and Latin. Latin is surely harder than I thought, but French is not too bad.
