I wonder how the man in the street differentiates the colours: red like the Chinese flag and red like someone’s hair, when speaking about leather goods – bags, belts, shoes etc.
For example, I’ve got two pairs of boots, one is red (vermilion; crimson, scarlet), the other is kind of orange/rusty. My notion (maybe, erroneous) is that cowboy boots were usually this colour.
