Apparently there was some controversy over The Killers' song "Human", in which a lyric is alleged to be "Are we human, or are we denser?" Not only do The Killers themselves say that it's "dancer", to my ears it's quite clearly not "denser". I'm confused as to how anyone can think otherwise. Are there dialects in which "denser" is pronounced this way?
Dancer/denser
Inland North dialects, such as in Milwaukee dialect:
dancer [ˈdɛ̞̃ntsʁ̩(ː)]
denser [ˈdɜ̃ntsʁ̩(ː)]
dancer [ˈdɛ̞̃ntsʁ̩(ː)]
denser [ˈdɜ̃ntsʁ̩(ː)]
