I hate the word 'as' !!
Why the hell does this word have so many different meanings?
What's the key to understanding this confusing word?
Somebody please get me through this!

You are an ashole

As far as I'm concerned I haven't as yet found this key either. As this worries me greatly, please feel free to post as many comments as possible on how ‘as’ can be used in various contexts.

I speak as your friend. this is one way to use as. this means i'm saying this to me because I'm your friend though I may be your boss at work.
A J, you are as American as apple pie. I can be your boss at work as well.
