My Accent
I'm guessing you're from either Plymouth or East Cornwall.
If it is the Video that you wanted to me to watch, I would say that you come from near 'Old Trafford'.
My school friends used to got to 'Old Trafford' every other week. In between they supported 'Stockport County' because George Best was playing.
As far as I'm aware, it isn't a video file but an audio sample. :-)
So I was wrong then? Do I gt another go? =p
<<So I was wrong then? Do I gt another go? =p>>
Yes, slightly off-beam. :-)
Speaking of Plymouth, some of my professors at uni have studied in Exeter, which is quite close to Plymouth, but unfortunately I've never been there.
Are you from Devon?
I am, and I suppose it could be.
I'm not from Devon and not from England. Actually, I am a non-native speaker and I was curious whether I had an easily detectable foreign accent or not. I have been told by many native speakers that I had quite an authentic British (English) accent, however, some of them could find traces of my native accent when they listened closely.
Oh...and the last post is mine and so is the accent sample.
You do have an authentic British accent.
You sound like you're either from South West England or Cornwall.
I've lived in Cornwall all my life and you definitely fooled me!
Unfortunately I could't listen to your recording. Where is it? I can't find it
<<Unfortunately I could't listen to your recording. Where is it? I can't find it.>>
I don't know why. :-( The link still works.
It's in the first post of this thread.
nice accent, posh English I'd say :-)
