hi,

what do we call the cigarette box?

for example:'I used to smoke 2 .... a day!'?

can I say 2 'boxes' a day ? or there's another term for that ?

It reminds me of the joke where a British guy goes into an American tobacconist and asks for a "pack of fags" and the store owner thinks he's looking for a gay orgy!!

Heh, similar to something on 'Clerks-The Animated Series,' which went something like:

(British) Customer: I'd like a pack of fags.
(American) Cashier: You're a fag!
Customer: No, a fag's a cigarette.
Cashier: YOU'RE a cigaratte!

It was a pointless but entertaining show.
