Which languages do you think sound most like English? Besides the Germanic languages, French, and Shanghaiese Chinese.
Language that sounds like English
Scottish, if you mean the Scots language is a Western Germanic language and/or dialect of English.
I am sure that Shanghainese (Hu dialect) or Chinese doesn't sound like English.
Ok, but the rest of the Germanic languages don't sound like English at all.

I heard some people speaking a language that sounded like English (minus rolled 'r's) near Tungusk. Don't know what it was though, but they were natives of the area.
