Well, there are a lot of posts about the number of French speakers, very different, depending on the post.
So, I think it is interesting to know how many people really speak French.
I give you the data of the by George Weber (1999):
Number of Hispanophones: 330 million. Here you can see the mother tongue speakers (300 million according to George Weber ) and second language speakers.
Ethnologue adds 32 million. They are "Hispanophone". So, they speak Spanish in a lesser degree. If we include the last group, the number of speakers is 362 million.
