What have you carried into English from your native languages? Positive or Negative experiences welcome

If you are a native speaker of English and know another language or two, has this experience changed the way you speak English or your perception of English?

Btw, I occasionally reverse "l" and "r" in English now.

Hmm, nothing comes to mind. Where in Japan did you live, and what were the circumstances? I lived in Sagamihara and Zama as a teenager (outside Tokyo). But I didn't learn Japanese.

Mainly I just bring back local terms, like "bukkake" after a stint in Japan.
