Proto (west) Germanic languages are an old form of german...which evolve into both english and german...see what i mean now?

I see what you mean but it's still false.

Proto West Germanic wasn't an old form of German.Because at the time 'german' didn't even exist.

It did not exist becuase that is what it was...it evolved into German, and English, it was old german.
