I've noticed in American English that some people pronounce the word "path" different, in particular the sound th. Some pronounce it like the sound at the beginning of the word "think", while others pronounce it more like a s sound, like the sound at the end of the word "mass". Is this a regional difference, and if so to which regions correspond each sound?
