or “pobrema” is always a “poblema”. ''

O Zé Pereira chegou de caravela
E preguntou pro guarani da mata virgem
— Sois cristão?
— Não. Sou bravo, sou forte, sou filho da Morte
Teterê Tetê Quizá Quizá Quecê!
Lá longe a onça resmungava Uu! ua! uu!
O negro zonzo saído da fornalha
Tomou a palavra e respondeu
— Sim pela graça de Deus
Canhém Babá Canhém Babá Cum Cum!
E fizeram o Carnaval
Oswald de Andrade

Open your eyes Viana Brazilian reporters wrote the articles not Portuguese reporters. It is Brazilians who are writing against ignorance.

Quer ver uma perdiz chocar um gato...
Quer ver uma perdiz chocar um rato,
Quer ensinar a um burro anatomia,
Exterminar de Goa a senhoria,
Ouvir miar um cão, ladrar um gato;
Quer ir pescar um tubarão no mato,
Namorar nos serralhos da Turquia,
Escaldar uma perna em água fria,
Ver um cobra castiçar co'um pato;
(Bocage)

Os Açorianos dizem "Ir p'á cidade"

Realmente não é Português é Brazuguês!
I also agree that Portuguese speakers must demand portuguese interpreter/translators because, because the understanding of Brazuguese is very limited.
"it is virtually impossible for a native speaker of one variety of Portuguese to do a good translation into the other."
I agree it really is like a virtual language impossible for any native of Portugal to translate.
"Although there are unfortunately people who may feel, and announce themselves as capable of translating/editing for both varieties, their work usually does not pass the simplest scrutiny of a native speaker"
How presumptuous these people are!!! Really!!

Without a grammar Brazilian vernacular can not be taught and learned as a foreign language.
Native Brazilians don't make viable Portuguese teachers because, by their own admission, Brazilians speak a varity of their own vernacular, no one knows what is the norm. There is no norm to teach.
No one knows what Brazilian is and how it should be taught.
There is no consensus regarding the Brazilian vernacular.
Brazilian vernacular is a mess.
Impossible to teach.
Do you want to learn Portuguese?
Portuguese from Portugal is more viable to learn as a foreign language.

Really, my sister-in-law is American and she learned our vernacular by watching our sitcoms and listening to axé music. She speaks perfect Brazilian and no one calls her a gringa when in Brazil. Which cannot be sad of Portuguese people. They are called gringos when in Brazil because their diction is not understandable, it sounds just like a Mexican person trying to speak Brazilian.
