The Hungarian name has no allusion to sleeping at all: "Csipkerózsika" ("csipkerózsa" being a more poetic version of "csipkebogyó", ie. "rosehip", an English equivalent would be "Rosehippie" :) ). The reason for this is that, as I remember, she sleeps among rosehips in the original tale. Literally in Hungarian, "sleeping beauty" would be "alvó szépség".
