English is so easy that it makes it hard

Just recently listened to a song
Someone sang
Angels crying
So what was that
Angels crying or Angel's crying?
The DJ said blah blah it were anglels.

So no one to answear what the songster has meant?
So the one have to guess?

I think there is a deffinate emphasis change in the "gels"/gel's" part of Angels/Angel's. Its really subtle. My Danish mate doesnt believe me when i say there is, we spent a whole car journey where he said a load of words like that, and i had to say which one it was. A pointless exercise because it didnt prove anything, i think i got all but 3 right.
