Uma /.../ how do you pronounce it?

I couldn't find the phonetic transcription for this name in any dictionary. How do you say it?

What about the surname Glew?

"Uma", as in "Uma Thurman", is pronounced ["um@] in GA and RP.

I've never seen "Glew" before, but from the spelling I'm almost certain that it'd be [glu] in GA and RP.

(RP transcription would tend to use length marks: ["u:m@] and [glu:].)

There's only one way to pronounce the Uma in Uma Thurman:
