Which transcription system are you using? Using X-SAMPA for General American, they are as follows:

"months" [mVnTs] or [mUn(t)s]
"changes" ["tSeIndZIz]
"gets" [gEts]
"words" [w3`dz]

& for General Australian they are:

"months" [m6nTs]
"changes" ["tS{IndZ@z]
"gets" [gets]
"words" [w3:dz]

I've never heard [mUn(t)s] for "months" in America. Perhaps you can hear it in a (Northern) English accent that has not undergone the FOOT-STRUT split.

Whoops! Meant to write [V] there, as with the first example.

<<kc,

Your first examples are the current correct pronunciations in English . Your second examples are what may be correct English pronunciations two or three hundred years from now. >>

Well, not exactly. kc indicated "z" in "months" when it is with "s" (no voicing) . Also, by indicating "-iz" in "changes" that's the current pronunciation (despite being in the second column).
