Velocity, Acceleration and Jerk

Velocity = Time rate of change of distance.
Acceleration = Time rate of change of velocity.
Jerk = Time rate of change of acceleration.

What are the words for these three in your language or
a language that you know alot about? Can you provide
a word for the "Time rate of change of jerk" in any language?
Jerk needs to be considered in elevator/lift design. So what
lift/elevator companies are there in the non English speaking
world?

I think that when designg elevators/lifts , one should always considerer the possibility of jerking off the shaft. That would be a major problem inside an elevator/lift.

I don't think he realizes what "jerk" means in American slang.

Hi LAA,

I think Geoff_One is concentrating in the technical meaning of "jerk", regardless of the slang significance..... :-)

Yes, but "I.B. Cumming Engineer" turned it into a joke about the slang word which carries a sexual connotation, as does the spelling of the word "coming". "I be cumming" is slang for "I am reaching orgasm". He used it as a play on words.

Lol
I didn't see it, it's true. I was reading too fast, and taking the thread by its serious side. :-)

LAA,

Apply Occam's Razor to the subject information that I have promulgated
here and you will draw a different conclusion.
