Salut Greg,
Je ne suis pas bien sûr, mais je dirais: ¿qué más hay? en spagnol. Si "qui" veux dire "quién", alors la traduction pourrais être: ¿quién más está?.
Salut Greg,

My Italian translation:
<Ciò che è più> [choh-ke-eh-pyew] <Cioè più> [choh-eh-pyew] <Quel che è più> [qwel-ke-eh-pyew] <Quel ch'è più> [qwel-ke-pyew] <Quello che è più> [qwel-loh-ke-eh-pyew] All of these mean "What is more" and are variations of each other (literally "That, that is more" or simplified, "That which is more") Wouldn't the Spanish translation be something more like "Es màs" or perhaps "Lo que es màs"?
Searching google for the Spanish I found this link: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1548722
My suggestions are there, and also "todavía más", "más aún" and "además"
Hi Tiffany,
In case that qui pus est means what you wrote in Italian, then yes. The Spanish translation would be: Lo que es más. Qu'est-ce que t'en penses greg?
Hi Tiffany,
My reply came to late. Yes, I agree with the other options you put above.
Hi Sergio,
I've been searching for the translation by Italians. I found this interesting thread that says if "What's more" means "Furthermore" (which I think it does), it can be transalted as "per di più". http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=45730&highlight=what%27s+more I think their transaltion must be better than mine, so ignore my attempts. It's <per di più> [pehr-dee-pyew]
Ciao greg,
Ti prego di non incazzarti se ci allontanamo un pò dello soggetto iniziale, ma Tiffany, io pensavo che " per di più " sarebbe " por lo demás ". German reference: sonst, darüber hinaus.
Hmm... food for thought, but doesn't "por los demás" mean "otherwise" (had to look that one up!)?
"Otherwise" is very differnt from "furthermore."
Well, before we have a mess in front of us:
además: furthermore: inoltre: en plus por lo demás: otherwise: per di più?: qui plus est?
It's in my mind a bit differently:
[It] per di più = [It] inoltre = [Fr] qui plus est = [En] furthermore = [En] What's more [Sp] por lo demás = [It] altrimenti = [Fr] autrement = [En] otherwise [Sp] por lo demás is not within the same train of thought for me.
altrimenti: de otra manera, si no,
per di più and inoltre are interchangeable synonyms? inoltre means además in Sp.
I suggest greg use it in a sentence, then we can rid ourselves of many of the alternative translations provided.
Sergio, sono uguali in signifacto "además" e "por lo demás"? Because "además" does in fact seem to mean "furthermore", but my searches on "por lo demás" tell me it does not. But since you are a native speaker, you could better answer this.
