Russian (Pimsleur)

Hi,
This is my first post on this website.

I have a question about the Pimsleur Language program. I'm currently on Lesson 24 (of 30) of Russian I. I feel I'm doing pretty well. However, Some of the pronounciations do not seem to be correct. Russian is mostly a phonetic language, with some rules on exceptions. But the speakers seem to mispronounce a few words when compared to the spellings of the words and also from hearing native speakers.

Can somebody please tell me if you've had this same experience with Pimsleur programs (Russian or otherwise)?

Jody, personally I have no experience whatsoever learning Russian, but I do know of a website which might be helpful:
