It's an Italian site. Thanks for sharing it. Latin is being revived in the United States. When I was a teenager, everyone thought it was "dead", but now it's popular again.

Some Catholics have continued to use it. I believe at least SOME legal documents submitted to the Vatican must be in Latin (this was true in the last five years or so), so it really isn't dead.

Wow, I don't know about everyone else, but I think this is pretty cool.

How is Latin being revived in the US? Most schools don't even teach it.

"How is Latin being revived?"

I doubt that my corner of the South is leading the trend, but I notice it quite a lot here.

Homeschooling groups are teaching it. Latin schools are popping up. It's in high school where I live. I know a girl who went to Italy with her Latin class/group recently. It was taught at a branch of my local library recently.

Why learn Latin? Ok if in adittion to other languages for academic interest/background. But if you learn only one language you should learn a modern language.

Actually, yes, a lot of high school do offer the subject, especially Catholic high schools. But it's an elective, and I believe in most cases if you want to take it, you have to have taken another "living" foreign language first. A lot of kids who are looking to become doctors or lawyers are taking it.
