People from Hong Kong?
How do you say a person from Hong Kong in English?
a) He is Hongkongese.
b) He is Hongkongian.
c) He is Hongkongish.
d) None of the above <suggest a correct answer>
I would say, "He is from Hong Kong."
I agree. I don't think there is a single word (or two words, for that matter) to describe somebody from Hong Kong in general use.

Then, what about the movie of Hong Kong or the restaurant of Hong Kong.
Would you just say 'Hong Kong movie' and 'Hong Kong restaurant'?
I agree with JP and furrykef. There's no adjective derived from Hong Kong that sounds natural to me.
<<Would you just say 'Hong Kong movie' and 'Hong Kong restaurant'?>>
Yes. In cases like that, I would just use the attributive "Hong Kong".

All of the above applies just as much here as well.
I've also seen a word "Hongkonger" referring to a person from Hong Kong.
But I guess that's an unfamiliar word for even native speakers of English.
HONGKEY?
I'VE HEARD THIS MANY TIMES.
Please do not post in all caps.
Maybe you're thinking of "honkey", which is a term used by blacks for white people.
A person from Hong Kong is a Hong Kongian.
I always say a Chinese from Hong Kong(actually I got a very bad habit, for all orientals they are Chinese from Singapore, Chinese from Malaysia etc.) , cuz in this matter that HongKong has never been a independent country, and the postfix of "ese" and "ian" also "ish" they are normally apply for the independent countries, you can't say londonese or londonish or londonian.
To RalphZ:
<the postfix of "ese" and "ian" also "ish" they are normally apply for the independent countries, you can't say londonese or londonish or londonian. >
But I've heard the words like "Londoner", "Newyorker" or "Parisian" many times.
well, with "er" is ok for many cities, but Hong Konger is definitely odd, and Iv never heard about Parisian, it's odd for me, so... Hong Kongian?
