Czech language

I'd like to know as much as possible about Czech, is there someone who can give serious information (origin, group etc)? I heard it and it seems a mix between a latin language and a slavic one. I heard it is difficult.

It's a difficult language... Western Slavic language (close to Polish and almost identical to Slovak) and you'll get an introduction to the lovely Slavic case system... So look forward to memorizing case endings... Highly inflected, so lots of verb endings as well... It's right next to Germany, so there are a few German crossovers, but not as many as you'd find in Polish (as I'm told).
