Conflictual

So... Is conflictual a word? My friend is writing her dissertation and read a sentence out loud to me and my friend and we looked at each other... We had never heard conflictual before and we made fun of her... But I google searched it and there were entries for it under "conflict" on the free online dictionary and dictionary.com...

What do ya'll think? I'd never heard it before.

She is wrong. The correct word is conflictive

I'd pick some word besides conflictual/conflictive, unless it's part of the standard jargon for that field of study.

Yeah, I think she decided to use "conflicted" instead... If the two other grad students haven't heard of it there's a good chance one of the professors on her committee has never heard it and will think she's making stuff up or something.
