Yes, I do say wich for witch and hwich for which. It's still used and obsolete. Of course, I wouldn't fight against someone who says both words at the same way. I recognize diversity for a single thing. I would like to support the h elimination in Spanish because it's silent. Hasta and asta rhyme but should be asta and asta. By the way, if the Spaniards like that silent h, I shan't worry anymore for the deletion.

Many words in Modern English look archaic because of the spelling but aren't considered so by native speakers.
"sweat" should be "swet"
"bird" ---- "berd"
"weird" ---- "wird" as in "kirk"
"dumb" ---- "dum"
"debt" ---- "det"
"breakfast" ---- "brekfest"
"break" ---- "braik"
I can't say English is better in orthography than Spanish.
