Os in Euro-Spanish

Os is the object pronoun of Vosotras-os. For example: os dieron un regalo (You were given a gift). In some rural parts of Spain old people may use vos instead of os.
Yo me caigo
Tú te caes Él se cae Nosotros nos caemos Vosotros os caéis Ellos se caen. These pronouns are a tricky part of Spanish, but they're used in similar situations in French, Italian and probably other romance languages. Os is just not used in Latin-America but it works exactly the same as the others.
American Spanish is not easier not more difficult, it's simply a bit different. Following your reasoning, one could say that since American Spanish drops letters which are not really pronounced or only slightly aspired it's more difficult to understand.
