What does the word "euromaxx" mean?

There is a programme called "euromaxx" on the English channel of Deutsche Welle TV. I wonder what the word really means. Thanks!

Nothing, really. I mean, it's not an actual word. Just something the show's producers put together.
Lazar   Sat Feb 02, 2008 6:36 pm GMT
As Uriel said, it's just a made up word, with connotations of "European" and "maximum".

Thanks Lazar. Your explanation made more sense than Uriel's oh nothing really explanation. ;)

Oops -- sorry I wasn't more help, Pedro! ;P

But why is is "euromaxx" instead of "euromax" -- does someone already have a copyright on "euromax"?
Lazar   Sun Feb 03, 2008 6:34 am GMT
Maybe they just thought it would look cooler with two x's.

It is supposed to appeal to the reader/viewer by association with XXX.
IMHO

I don't think it's related to XXX , unless very subtly or a joke by the producers. I think it's just because Euromaxx looks cooler than Euromax

How can a word with Euro sound cool, no matter how many X's you add?

How can a Septic tank understand it?

I think you're thinking too much. Who cares? That's just the way they decided to spell it. Who says it has to be logical?
