What does it mean? Is it a sarcastic way to say "awesome"?

Awesome = inspiring awe
Arsesome = inspiring arse?

Awesome rhymes with possum.

For me, "awesome" does not rhyme with "possum". The first part of awesome has the thought vowel /Q/, whereas the first part of possum has the lot vowel /a/.
