<<een taal - eine sprache
Spraak is verouderd. >> 'Spraak' is Plattdüütsch word that means language ( 'taal' means 'language' in East Frisian Plattdüütsk only).|
By the way. I'm no fan of rap music. In fact, I hate it with a passion. Still, it has to be told, our immigrants respect the Dutch language more than the 'own people' here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJu0vvfQ5m0 Everytime a Moroccan makes music here, the lyrics are in Dutch. Most of the time a Dutch or Fleming makes a song, it's in English.
OOOO Holland is looking prettier by the day (sarcastic)

<<"leod" does not exist in English >>
Yes it does. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/leod http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Leod http://thinkexist.com/dictionary/meaning/leod/ You don't know where to look.
<<Because we ARE English. And the English are us. We are one leod. One natie. Een Taal.
We do not let a little thing like a puddle of water separate us. >> Perhaps only Low Saxons (Niedersachsen/Neddersassen/Nedersaksen) can say it.
<<Because we ARE English. And the English are us. We are one leod. One natie. Een Taal.
We do not let a little thing like a puddle of water separate us. >> We do let a little thing like a puddle of water separate us. We don't consider you English and never will. If you want to pretend to be our best buddies, feel free, but just know that we don't feel the same way. You're just bunch of cloying wannabes, suckups and tryhards.

Of course not all of us feel the way this fellow does. Please take his lone comment with a spoonful of salt. |
