1) The Lisbon treaty dies before it is born.
2) The much anticipated EU president and foreign minister turned out to be clowns.
3) Economically without perspectives, the Euro collapses.
4) They can't agree amongst themselves, let alone with the world.
5) They are not democratic.
6) They believe the policy of "the populace cannot be trusted to make the right decision."
7) They let in Mafia states like Bulgaria and gypsy lands like Romania.
8) They want to let in Muslim hordes from Turkey.
9) They are completely dependent on Russia for gas.
10) They have no military.
11) They're all talk and no action.
12) They are constantly losing their position in former Soviet states.
13) They are pawns of NATO.
14) They have no international influence.
15) They are spinelessly liberal and bureaucratic.
16) They haven't a clue what they actually want.
17) No one pays any attention to them at international meetings, like that Copenhagen summit.
18) They feel so much guilt for the past that they can't do shit today.
19) Their population is declining, ageing and being replaced by Muslims.
20) They are a laughing stock of the world.

EU would be more articulate if the Germans just organised everything and the rest obey.

Well it was always going to problematic trying to amalgamate various contrasting political, juridical and linguistic traditions into one harmonious state based on German economic management and French geopolitical ambition.


Just look at the farce occuring in Greece.

The European Union is a failure. You can't just put people with different traditions and languages all under one roof. Another thing that irritates me is the free movement of people within the EU. Traditions and cultures are dying out because you now have people from different part of Europe moving to other parts of the EU. Just look at the amount of Polish shops and churches in England, it's destroying the traditional English culture. The same can be said with all the British/ German people in Benidorm it's destroying original Spanish culture. You now walk down benidorm and the first shop you see is a fish and chip shop. History teaches us the EU will collapse just like the former USSR!

Some of your points "eurosceptic" are very well-founded. However, Europe has become a template for the rest of the civilized world - whether you or I like it or not.

p.s. Is it just a continuation of politics or culture?

Back to Spain however, the European population would serve as dhimmis and to support that they'd use some romanticised Emirate of Córdoba myth, where post-Reconquista Spain used the Gothic myth.
