Vive Le Quebec libre
If you want to speak in terms like 'I deserve it more than you' then yes, there are loads of people and minorities that deserve freedom and indepdance much more than Quebec, in fact , most of these people are actually fighting for their independance instead of whining for attencion.
You can say what kind of minorities, ¿The Basque country? ¿Chiapas? ¿Corsica? ¿The Palestinians? Explain yourself
<<The US is not responsible for all the ills in the world there's a lot of countries to blame for it. England is inside the TOP TEN list. >>
Please post your list, Sigma - I'd love to see it. :(
Why oh why do some of the posters here keep posting the same old crap about things that happened in the 18th century? What the hell is the point?
<<I know what I'm talking about Candy >>
You know a lot of history, Sigma, granted. But my question was about your comment on 'Anglo pride'??
<<because some Germans consider Dutch as a dialect of German>>
True - I know a lot of them! But still, sheer ignorance on their part, and irrelevant.
<<I never said that, Hitler was an horrible man too , but he did some good things too.>>
Oh yeah, that's such an accurate comparison. Congratulation Sander. You definately don't need to learn to think in shades of grey. Your judgement is always unquestionably fair.
Did they steal it Sigma? From who? From native indians?
The issue here Sander is that the Indians didn't have a "former colony or "A nation recognized worldwide" and all the European powers stole the land of the Indians in America each and everyone of them,.
but when it comes to the New France it was a former colony recognized worldwide like the New Spain, the New England, the New Portugal and your Dutch colonies in America.
There's no the same responsability in taking land from the Indians (were all European powers are guilty) and in seizing land from a Former colony established already.
-Ignoring Glarmed Up-
Sigma,
Think of the Palestinians, the Kurds, the Basques ,the Irish, the Acehs, and the Tjetnians.
=>The issue here Sander is that the Indians didn't have a "former colony or "A nation recognized worldwide" <=
And this makes it right?!
"Oh yes, God forbid that Steve should have an opinion on anything."
OK, I can see that insulting a man whom most of the french consider as their greatest political leader ("an ignorant self-important pig") is what you call an 'opinion'. Good for you...
"The man was a nationalistic fool."
Sander,
You should learn about french politics before saying that.
For your guidance, De Gaulle has always been described by the french far-right wing as their worst enemy along with the communists.
Anyway, you perfectly have the right not to like De Gaulle, but I think you should try to make inquiries about the man and his political achievements.
It sounds like if you hate him for wrong reasons.
If Quebec wants independence, it can have it, Sigma. Canada is a democracy with a referendum system; the referendum was held, and Quebec voted to stay within the federation. That was their decision. The province is not being held against its will.
Should they decide that popular opinion warrants another referendum, that decision can be reevaluated, but none have been scheduled as of yet.
And as far as I can see, the question of Quebecois sovereignty is solely the business of Quebec and Canada. No other country is involved or has any influence on that decision. I don't know where you get the idea that other countries are somehow pressuring or "oppressing" either side. They aren't. People outside of Canada can have any opinions they want, but they are not part of the process.
The usual day of a french "worker" (LOL!)

Yes is true, but we can say our opinion about the issue in the same way I found some Anglo Candians who yelled at me: !Viva Chipas Libre! in my own country, so by the same right I can say: Vive Le Québec Libre!.
Warren G = Sander
The poor fool has lost his mind.
Why would I write such a post anyway? Just so that Sigma can write "Well excuse us for being "Latin"" ?!
Sander,
Don't you have nothing more interesting to do?
