You mean discovered, Aldo?

I am Peruvian and I speak Spanish. I also speak English, French and Portuguese nearly fluently. I also speak a little Quechua. The original language in my country was Quechua, language of the greatest empire in the world, the Inca empire. But the Spaniards came and robbed us of everything: from our mines, to our dignity. They introduced their religion (Roman Catholic) and their language by force. In Peru over than 50 other languages are also spoken, but Spanish is used for everything.
Nowadays, Spanish is very important to us all, not only in Peru but around the world. Obviously it is vital in the Western, but in the East is fastly growing as well. Many people choose it as their 2nd language, more than French, and by far more than German. We are all here amazed at the importance "our" language has been exercising throughout the planet in the last 7 years.
So, that Spanish is very important and liked is a fact, and we can't do anything to deny it. You know, in Peru many people would like to speak Quechua and get to become a developed country as we were before (i.e. the Inca empire), but that's an Utopy.
Some people here think that because they speak German/French or were born in one of those countries is, was and will be better than the rest. Who the hell do they think they are? My country would have continued being as it was before if it weren't because of the Spaniards and their crazy ambition. We were a Spain's colony and now we're a USA's colony. But not because of that I'd say that I'm better than the rest.
Countries like German or France have destroyed and sacked entire territories and then they say that their colonies are indebted to them!

I like your reasoning Jonathan. You seem to be very close to the truth. The truth is painful, yet enlightening. The pain when you touch the truth can lead you to seek an escape in your imagination, another world, but this world is reality, and the truth is all around us.

Fuck Spain!

No, I meant founded. Asians discovered America and migrated to it. Europeans (Vikings) found it much time later but Spaniards founded as part of their civilization, the same did the Portuguese, British, etc.

<< America was founded first by Spaniards, later by Portuguese, Brittish, French, Dutch, Africans...etc. >>

America was founded by Africans and Aborigines at FIRST!! (-55000BC)
After Asiatics and Siberians (-20000BC)
The third are Vikings, and another marine peoples especially hunters of whales.
And certainly the great Chinese fleet of Zheng He in 1421, the fourth...
So Cristoforo Colombo and the Spaniards isn't the first one...

Again, to discover and to found are two different concepts, none of the first people in America (if really they were the first ones) never formed an unity as Spaniards, British or Portuguese who founded or extended their empires in America.

The asiatic descendants are incas, mayas and aztecs, and i think the inca empire (and also other native-american states) was really powerful... and united...
The Vinland was a Viking foundation (really small compared to spanish or english foundations...) and also a colony...
" think twice before you speak"

The Spanish took the new worlds people and tiraron de la cadena del inodoro! It's stupid and arrogant yes, but I have nothing against that.

If only Spanish only was spoken in Nth America, except for Russian in alaska. Sore wa ii datara.

I bet you think you're a Rhodes Scholar. But, the reality is, Franco, you're not a Rhodes Scholar. You're lost in your imagination. Franco, I have some advice for you. Don't try to impress people with fancy talk. Especially when you don't know what the fuck you're talkin' about.

Possibly Polynesian people discovered America as well but Incas, Mayans, Chibchans, Navajos, etc. as group never knew much one from each other. Absolutely there was not an unity in America and even inside the groups there were internal wars which made things "easier" for conquistadores. As to the Vikings, they didn't do much and returned to their lands making no noise.

But who say america is unified?
The conquistadores never unified America...
You forgot Portuguese travelers, British conquerors, French huguenots, Russians trappers, Dutch merchants, Etc...
And after the spanish colonies split afterward...
The history don't give all humanity's mysteries: for exemple, the Phenicians was able to go to America and found a unknown civilization (see the Dighton rock or Pedra da Gavea's cliff)

LOL! You disgruntle me. Must one be a Rhodes Scholar to see through the haze of falsehood which blinds almost all others? The truth lies beyond that haze, and can only be reached by great struggle and insight. It is the duty of those with the gift to see the truth to instigate the wind, to blow the haze away and render visible the truth for the lesser minded beings. Like the shepherd leading the weak through the valley of evil. If you get my gist.

I'm so glad that it did not happen because if the land that is now known as US and Canada were colonized and inhabited by Spanish speaking people then they would have been living in poverty too as it is in Hispanic America.
